Fondue, anyone?

After you've been thrifting for a period of time, it seems you reach a point when you just know a really great deal when you see one. Take this fondue set, for example. I almost put it back on the shelf when I was out & about last weekend. Then I got to thinking how could I go wrong for $1.99? I don't know if I was having visions (delusions, maybe?!) of my family gathered round the table happily dipping fruit into chocolate on our fondue sticks or what, but I guess that's kinda what was in my mind as I proceeded to the checkout! LOL Who knows if that will actually happen...I'll keep ya posted!!!

Have ya been enjoying the house tour? Well, there's much more to come! C'mon back for a visit next week and I'll show you more trash-to-treasure projects, as well as the kitchen.

Also coming in the very near future will be details about a special 100th post giveaway I have planned so be sure not to miss that :)

Chili is simmering on the stove, French bread is in the oven...mmmm, the house smells absolutely wonderful! Plus the sun was shining today quite brightly and I heard a bunch of birds chirping - oh yeah, hurry up spring! LOL Hope everyone is enjoying an awesome weekend!

  1. I always LOVED fondue. We had restaurants here that were especially for that - did you? And, for $1.99, you really can't go wrong. I would probably melt a little chocolate every day simply because I could.

I'm loving your house tour. You are so creative. I can't wait to see what's in store next week.

Sounds like your house smells wonderful. Enjoy that yummy food.

P.S. Just to make you a tiny bit jealous - we were outside ALL day today. It was 68 degrees and sunny, sunny, sunny. Yes, I loved it! I'm wishing for warm weather for you, too.

  3. Ooooo I have one of those... got it on sale too (mine was $4.99, not quite a great deal like yours).

    Some ideas for ya...

I had a little open house here about a year ago for family. I used mine with chocolate and had all kinds of yummies around it.. pretzels, marshmellows, strawberries, bananas, graham crackers, etc.

I've also been to a fondue bridal shower before! It was so great. There were about 4 Fondue sets sitting around with different cheeses and chocolates in them with all the 'trimmings'. It was a cute idea.
