Thrifting...It's A 'Hit Or Miss' and A Party
Today I'm joining in the party over @ Rhoda's blog. Hop on over there to see more thrifty treasures! http://southernhospitality-rhoda.blogspot.com/Thanks, Rhoda, for being such a lovely hostess! :-)
Found these little tins for 40 cents each at Salvation Army (or Salvo, as the kids all call it :)... This plate is DEFINITELY a chalkboard paint project! Don't ya think ribbon will look adorable threaded through those holes? Candleholder I found at Goodwill. I was SO happy to score this Hallmark card organizer box @ Salvo! Brand-new, never opened - as you can probably see :) I also found these fabric remnants and tablecloth @ Salvo. 25 cents each for the remnants. Tablecloth was only a couple bucks. I'm planning to use them for a few patio projects.
Thanks for looking and be sure to visit Rhoda's to see more treasures!

You did great at Salvo! I never find anything there, and it's overpriced too. Yes, I think that plate is crying out to be chalkboarded, and beribonned!
Your tins and your candlestick will turn out great with a little paint! Never heard it called Salvo before! LOl cute. Ours doesn't have much but clothes... :-) Sue
From now on, I am going to grab the good times with both arms. I am going to walk outside and feel the sun on my face and learn to laugh, really laugh again. Most of all, I'm going to take the love that comes my way and hold on to it for dear life. Sometimes we don't need new scenery, just new eyes. ~Dawn Miller
Be An Encourager!
A smile of encouragement at the right moment may act like sunlight on a closed-up flower; it may be the turning point for a struggling life. ~Author Unknown
"Measuring A Life"
My deeds will be measured not by my youthful appearance... but by the concern lines on my forehead...
The laugh lines around my mouth...
and the chins from seeing what can be done
for those smaller than me or who have fallen.

I Am A Pink Warrior!
I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in July 2008. Since that time I've had a double mastectomy, reconstruction, chemo, radiation and several other surgeries. Fast forward a year...it's now July 2009 and I'm all done with treatment. My hair has grown back, I'm feeling great! GOD is good and life is good! I've gotten loads of support from family and friends. I'm living a "NEW NORMAL" these days and just very thankful to be here!!! Always keep a positive attitude and don't pass up an opportunity to show love and kindness to others. Don't live your life with regrets and enjoy each day!

Hello there ~ welcome to my blog! My name is Michelle. I've been married to a great guy for 20 years and we've been very blessed with 3 cool kids - a boy & 2 girls. My family means everything to me and I try to make our home a wonderful place to be. I LOVE to decorate and work on "trash to treasure" projects ~ that's what I can be found doing most of the time (um, sometimes other than what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing...like laundry, for instance! LOL) I think laughter is a vital part of life so I always try to choose to look at the humorous side of things...if life throws lemons your way, why not make lemonade, right?!
You did great at the Salvo! LOL! I cannot wait to see that plate all done! That is a cool idea!
