Handmade Thank-You Notes
Do you remember these handmade envelopes that Tyler's graduation party invitation fit into? I made over 100 of them, along with the invitations and announcements. I had lots of long paper strip scraps leftover from the black & white music paper so of course I saved them (what scrapper wouldn't :-)... I found a 50-count package of blank stationery cards/envelopes at good ole Wallyworld for FIVE BUCKS! Didn't really have a plan when I bought them; all I knew is I was gonna make "Thank You" cards for Ty to send out. Armed with paper scraps, paper trimmer, a glue stick, circle punch, an ink pad and a new stamp I bought @ Michael's for a buck, I set out to create the cards and here is what I came up with. (I'm NOT a great stamper and the perfectionist in me is having issues but they turned out okay - I can live with the results.) Now, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a teenage boy to write thank-you notes?! ha ha (He *has* started on them but there are more to be written.)
I think they look great! I too am such a perfectionist and the inconsistency of stamping can get to me. That's why I usually end up inking all the edges to distress it and take attention away from all my mess ups!
The decor for your son's graduation party was FABULOUS and over the top...I LOVED it!
From now on, I am going to grab the good times with both arms. I am going to walk outside and feel the sun on my face and learn to laugh, really laugh again. Most of all, I'm going to take the love that comes my way and hold on to it for dear life. Sometimes we don't need new scenery, just new eyes. ~Dawn Miller
Be An Encourager!
A smile of encouragement at the right moment may act like sunlight on a closed-up flower; it may be the turning point for a struggling life. ~Author Unknown
"Measuring A Life"
My deeds will be measured not by my youthful appearance... but by the concern lines on my forehead...
The laugh lines around my mouth...
and the chins from seeing what can be done
for those smaller than me or who have fallen.

I Am A Pink Warrior!
I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in July 2008. Since that time I've had a double mastectomy, reconstruction, chemo, radiation and several other surgeries. Fast forward a year...it's now July 2009 and I'm all done with treatment. My hair has grown back, I'm feeling great! GOD is good and life is good! I've gotten loads of support from family and friends. I'm living a "NEW NORMAL" these days and just very thankful to be here!!! Always keep a positive attitude and don't pass up an opportunity to show love and kindness to others. Don't live your life with regrets and enjoy each day!

Hello there ~ welcome to my blog! My name is Michelle. I've been married to a great guy for 20 years and we've been very blessed with 3 cool kids - a boy & 2 girls. My family means everything to me and I try to make our home a wonderful place to be. I LOVE to decorate and work on "trash to treasure" projects ~ that's what I can be found doing most of the time (um, sometimes other than what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing...like laundry, for instance! LOL) I think laughter is a vital part of life so I always try to choose to look at the humorous side of things...if life throws lemons your way, why not make lemonade, right?!
NICE!!!
