My Thanks

My thanks to all for the sweet comments you wrote and the prayers you said for our family. It's definitely been a L-O-N-G week. The funeral service for my grandma was a very nice one. My cousin's husband also spoke, as well as the pastor, and he did a great job. Steve invited a few people to share their memories of Grandma but I just couldn't do it. I've got LOTS of great memories but I don't know, just couldn't share anything at that moment. The dinner after the service was also very nice. Here's a goofy little story to share about my goofy husband making people laugh...The dinner was catered and there was a pretty water fountain as a decoration on the food table. My sister & nieces were in line by Bobby & me. Well, Bobby took his plastic fork and held it under that water fountain, then turned to my nieces and asked all serious-like, 'Have you girls washed your forks yet? You know that's what it's for, right?' Then we all started laughing...Bobby is such a goofball!

Today marks 17 years since my mom died. I miss her like crazy every single day but this time of year is especially difficult. It hardly seems possible that so many years have gone by! Not sure who said it or if I'm even repeating the quote correctly but anyway...they say 'time marches on and waits for no one'. How very true that is! Don't know about you but I sure can relate :-)

  4. I am glad the funeral went well and you ahd Bobby by yourside to lighten things up.
I do realte to the quote...time does march on and yet the longing to be with of loved ones still is there. My dad has been gone 23 years.
I am sure your mom was with you in spirit at the funeral. I feel my dad close by during those times.

Enjoy your week and good luck with the rest of your treatments,

    With faith and prayers,
    beth

  5. Hi Michelle ~ my mom has been gone about 5 years too and I miss the heck out of her. I have no one left, since my sister died in 1997. Sometimes it can get so lonely...but thankfully, I still have my kids and Glenn!

    Big Hugz,
    Michele

  6. Michelle,

I know you have a lot of faith. I have another blogging friend who needs our help praying for her son Marcus. They live in Mesa Arizona. I posted about him yesterday.
He is going in for a risky brain/spinal surgey on Tuesday day and I am trying to find support for her. She is so stressed out. I was even wondering if Tess would leave Marcus a note on his special blog.;-) He is suppose to go into the 8th grade in Aug.
I hope you are feeling better my sweet friend!

    Beth~♥
