It's Official!

Well, it's official...our daughter Taylor got her learner's permit yesterday! She's very excited about that, as you can imagine :)

I'm still swamped with Tyler's graduation party details! Making the invitations has been quite a task but I wouldn't have it any other way...I'm so pleased with how they're turning out and I like the fact that they have a personal touch.

Radiation treatments are going along fine. I have found the radiation therapists to be much less friendly than the chemo nurses I had and I don't know - that just kinda bugs me. It's bad enough having to lay so still but then feeling uncomfortable because no one is saying anything makes it a bit awkward.

We've been enjoying some lovely spring days. Flowers are blooming everywhere! We took our swing out of the garage where it had been stored for the winter and put it on the front porch. I decided to put it in front instead of the backyard and I'm so glad I did...the girls and I have been sitting there in the evenings all cuddled up together in a big blanket, giggling and sharing some sweet memories...I love that!

  1. Congrats to Taylor!!! :)

I'm glad you're enjoying the task of making the invitations for Tyler's Graduation Party!!!

Why do you think the Radiation therapists are so much less friendly than the chemo nurses? That would bug me too...and I'd probably ask them why things seem so different in radiation than chemo treatment.

Spring has finally sprung...and while we were out of state on a 2-week vacation!! Tom and I are moving our PATIO (128 pavers), so there's no place for our SWING. :(

    YET!!!

The moments you're spending, making memories on that swing are so precious.

  2. Congratulations Taylor!!! A big milestone!

The sun and flowers seem to make everything a little better in life! I'm so glad we've had some great days here in MI!

Graduations sure are time consuming but so worth it! I am glad we now have the first college graduation behind us.

I think it should be mandatory to have a pleasant personality to work with patients! It would make things a whole lot easier when you're sick, scared or just bored laying there!

    Have a wonderful day!

  3. Congratulations are certainly in order for Taylor! I remember that day!!!!!!

Sorry the radiation people are not that friendly for you. I found the whole process of radiation very cold, lonely, dark, and upsetting! They talked a little bit if I spoke or asked a question, but it seemed like the answers were ones they have spouted off a million times before and never really personal! Don't know what that is. But you are not the only one feeling this --- it seems that anyone I talk to has the same opinion of radiation. It will be over soon and you will be done with it!!!!

  5. Way to go Taylor! That's awesome news!

That would bug me too if the nurses weren't friendly. You would think that would be a prerequisite!

Sounds like so much fun...sitting on the porch sharing good times with the kids!

  8. Congratulations to Taylor! Jamie turns 15 on the 18th and she still hasn't even started studying for her learner's permit! She is afraid to take the test, I think.

I'm so sorry that your radiation nurses aren't friendly. I wonder why? I just wish it were easier for you.

Good luck getting everything ready for Tyler. I know you'll get it all done - you are amazing!
