Good afternoon, everyone. My goodness, what a trying time it has been lately. Just wanted to update about my mother-in-law. I talked to Bobby a few minutes ago and he let me know that the doctors did the heart cath this afternoon and found one of Sandy's arteries was very blocked; they were able to put in a stent (sp?) and she's doing well. I'm so glad, so relieved - oh my, you just don't even know!
Seems like all I've been doing is asking for prayer lately. But here goes with another one! We lease the house we're living in and got a letter today notifying us that we have 60 days to move. Can you believe the timing of all this? I'm just stunned. Absolutely stunned. Here's the problem....our number one priority is to keep the kids in the same school district and we live in a small community that doesn't have a huge rental market. For many reasons, we're not planning to buy a house at this time. Bottom line, folks, WE NEED A MIRACLE!!!! Please pray that we're able to find another place to live...quickly!
On the positive side, I'm feeling stronger with each passing day since the surgery. It has done me nothing but good to be at home recovering! I was able to get a shower today (hey, I was even able to shave my legs LOL) and fix up. I did my hair, put on some make-up and a cute outfit. That has helped a whole lot, let me tell ya!
I've really appreciated your outpouring of love, concern and prayers :) Tomorrow I'm going to have a few visitors! My sister, niece & nephew, my aunt (mom's sister) and possibly my brother. So that'll be nice :)
Enjoy your weekend :)

Bathing you in prayer! Don't do too much too quick.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
Michelle...of course, we will continue showering you with our prayers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a "trying" time. On COME TO JESUS day (Wednesday), SARAH posted about JOB - http://burgeonbloomlife.blogspot.com/2008/08/come-to-jesusthe-darkest-day.html - which sounds a bit like the story of Michelle & Bobby.
Keep trusting the Lord and keep asking for prayer, cuz I know first-hand that that is the only way you will make it through all of these trials you're facing.
I wish we all lived closer...because I would be there in a heartbeat to lend a hand...searching for a new place or cooking or helping with packing. (Goodness, I'm good at organizing a move...since I've moved 47 times since 1982!!)

Michelle - Bless your heart!! First of all I'm glad your mother in law is doing better. What a relief that must be. So good you're feeling well, of course you know not to overdo, but I'm sure it's hard not to.
ReplyDeleteNow onto the house situation, again I am speechless wondering what God is up to and knowing none of this has come as a surprise. Praying God will show His hand in a mighty way.
I'm wondering if you would mind if I post your blog on a Christian Woman's forum? Would you comment back if you get a chance and let me know.

Michelle, I am keeping you in my prayers. God is the God of miracles. I will be praying for a really perfect home for you family. This is a time for all of us to lift you up. It is like Job's story. God does things for reasons and He is active and working in all our lives. He is in the center of all that is going on with you. I believe that you really will look back on this and see that there are reasons and that God has woven a beautiful pattern together in your family. Thinking a praying for you sweetie. Kathi
