Blogland Meets Real Life

Here we are...bloggin' buds meeting up in real life! This is Kelly from 'Serenity Cottage' blog. Go check it out for yourself! Kelly is just as sweet in person as she is on her blog :)
Here I was sitting with Bobby just outside the hotel, waiting for Kelly to arrive. He kept teasing around and pointing various women out asking me, 'Is that her?' I was soooooo happy to finally meet Kelly in person! I immediately knew we were comfortable with each other from our first conversation on the phone confirming our plans for the day. Bobby & I were surprised at how we felt like we already knew their family! Kelly mentioned the same thing in her blog post about us meeting. Kelly's husband & their kids are just as nice as they can be. We enjoyed meeting you guys very much!!!

We sat & chatted for a few minutes, then decided to go have some lunch. We ate at a Chinese/Japenese/Thai restaurant. The food was very good, although I declined Bobby's offer to try a California roll. Kelly got brave and had a bite or two! The three of us talked and laughed; it was very enjoyable and the conversation was easy.

After that, Bobby decided to hang out at the hotel while Kelly & I walked a few blocks to a Starbucks. We visited some more and had a super duper time!

There were lots of cool outdoor restaurants like this all around. Kelly & I thought this was picture worthy so we could show all of you!

We each posed in front of a pretty arrangement along the sidewalk as we made our way back to the hotel...
Kelly & Bobby...
Kelly's son Brandon waited patiently :) Brandon is a guitar player like my son so we talked a little about that...
Brianna & Bobby, mugging for the camera...
Here we are exchanging gifts at the end of our afternoon together. Isn't this picture of Kelly's daughter grinning so cute?
This candle is absolutely adorable, don't ya think? I LOVE anything black & white polka dotted!
LOVE this mug, especially what it says on it :) Thanks again so much, Kelly!

When I first started blogging, I never realized I'd meet so many nice people...and I really have! Meeting a blogging friend in person was truly an experience of a lifetime and I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to do so. I've found so much support from so many of you bloggers after I found out I have cancer. Your thoughts, prayers & kind words mean so much to me, especially at this time. Thank you for reaching out to me. I've had some rough days and I realize more are ahead as I walk through this journey, but reading your comments has helped tremendously.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the remainder of our Chicago trip!

Until next time,
Michelle
