A Dress For a Dance
My youngest daughter Tess attended the winter dance at her school several months ago and wanted me to sew her a dress to wear. Even though I made my wedding dress about 21 years ago, I have to admit that I haven't sewn clothes too often since the kids were a lot younger. I really enjoy sewing home decorating projects...just not clothes! So needless to say, my first thought was to tell Tess no and instead go dress shopping with her. But her heart was set on it so I did eventually agree. Tess chose the fabric/pattern and I got to work. The dress turned out nicely and Tess was happy. We even made a rosette pin and matching hair accessory!
Thanks for looking,
~Michelle :)

ReplyDeleteVery beautiful, your daughter looks lovely. Thanks for visiting me.
ReplyDeleteThat's sweet that she wanted you to make her a dress. Most kids would want the opposite these days! It turned out so well - she looks beautiful!
