MMMMMMM, monkey bread...

Sorry there's no picture to share of some delicious, mouth-watering monkey bread I made last night to take to our Home Fellowship church group last night.

But, I'm happy to share the recipe with you!

4 cans biscuits
1 cup white sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter

**Cut one can biscuits in fourths. Shake pieces in plastic bag with white sugar and cinnamon. Do the same with the other cans, one at a time until all the pieces are in the plastic bag. Place pieces in a tube pan (one that doesn't have a removable bottom). Boil together 1 cup brown sugar and 1 stick butter; pour mixture over biscuit pieces.

Bake 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees. Let set 10 minutes. Turn out on plate.

This stuff is SO good! My daughter Taylor was hoping there were a few leftover pieces so she could take them to school today - her wish came true!

  1. Hey Michelle,
    Ohhh I love monkey bread!

I got a notice today that you sent me an e-card but once again, I can't access for some reason.....can't go to the site at all. I've tried it the last few times you've sent me a card and I can't. I have no idea what is up with that. But thank you so much for thinking of me! You're so sweet!

I leave for Disney before the roosters crow in the morning. I'm already tired, but can't wait!

By the way, I haven't painted anything since before Christmas when I did a few Christmas presents. But each week my girls have still prayed for "mom to sell some paintings". Each time, I think, I need to tell them that they don't have to pray that because I'm not actually trying to sell any and haven't had time to do any new ones. Well, yesterday I get a phone call from my sister-in-law and she told me of a guy that is having a grand opening of a local flower shop and he wanted some paintings. He bought four small ones from me for $120 and I loaned him a big one for the opening. He bought them to resale, so he wants to see how it goes. I had to let go of some of the ones that I painted for myself so I have to get busy when I get back! I was very excited and hope he has luck selling them at his shop because that would be a great thing for me to get my feet wet! I couldn't help but smile up to God and thank Him! It's always great when He answers a prayer that I didn't try to take control of and He answered it bigger than I would have expected!

Well, I have company ringing my door bell.....

I'll talk to you when I get back!

  2. Oh, I love that stuff! I can pretty much eat an entire pan by myself. It is delicious.

  3. Mmmmmmmm one of my FAVORITES! that ooooooey goooeyness is just not on my 'healthy lifestyle plan' (ha!)

holy cow! that's a stinkin' lot of books! I love curling up with a good book on cold days like these. Mmmmm... with some Fat Free Hot Chocolate and my warm blanket.

I like the new look too! Your blog title background reminds me of scrapbook paper ---- it's you!

Thanks for the prayers (and ecard) today. It meant so much to me!

  4. Gosh it's been a while since I made this but I know it's delish!
