Last week I went with my girls and their friends to see "The Time Traveler's Wife". Have any of you gone to see this yet? I thought it was just okay, not a fabulous 'must see' for me or anything. What did you think?
EACH DAY IS A PRECIOUS GIFT...TAKE THE TIME TO UNWRAP EACH ONE!
19 years ago today I became a "Mrs." - on the Mister's birthday, no less! Wow, we both look SO young! haha
Here he was laying on the altar after the pictures were all done saying, "I can't believe I'm married!" Notice the marriage license in his hand :) (On a side note, my mom & I made my wedding gown and veil/headpiece. She was a very talented seamstress, I'll tell ya that!)
Our 10th year of marriage...(oh, and by the way, there really isn't anything on my tooth - not sure why this picture looks like it)!

The last 3 pictures were all from spring/summer 2008. Before cancer treatment. We don't really have too many taken of us during this last year 'cause I just didn't want to see myself like that. I'm sure you can understand.
18 years ago today we were blessed with this sweet lil' bundle of joy...Tyler Robert made his appearance @ 9:44 a.m. 8 lbs., 1 oz. 21 inches long. Oh, and that's the proud grandma standing next to her firstborn son (my husband) who is holding her adorable first grandchild :)
Tyler has always been such a sweetheart...
We've been through a lot these last 18 years, including this terrifying accident just over a year ago. What you're looking at is what's left of Ty's car. You can read more about that accident... http://treasurethemoment-michelle.blogspot.com/2008/05/tyler-update.html
That's why I don't mind the 3 tattoos Ty has. (Only one is pictured.) At first they really bothered me; I can't lie. But ya know what? After all we've been through between Ty's accident, my cancer diagnosis/treatment, etc. etc., does it even matter? Although I have to admit, today Tyler was on the phone with one of his buddies joking that he was gonna go get his tongue pierced and I think I noticeably flinched. Imagine my relief when he said he was just kidding! He told his friend he just wanted to see his mom's reaction. Nice.
Tyler and me - Graduation Day, June 2009. We're so proud of this guy!
Senior Picture, June 2009. Happy 18th Birthday to a very special son!
We are in the midst of redoing my youngest daughter's bedroom. This week I've been sewing all the bedding. I'm making a duvet cover, shams, throw pillows and a roman shade. I've also got several 'redo' projects in the works...
Yup, it's that time again! Check out all the cool DIY stuff over @ Kimba's. There's always lots to see and become inspired by each and every week :) (Thanks for hosting, Kimba!)
First off, check out this cute little table I rescued from the curb and painted/decoupaged. I love the curvy lines of it, don't you? I don't have a before photo but picture peeling wood, nasty, gross! One day last fall a friend came over and saw it for the first time and actually offered to pay me for it...but I just couldn't part with it! (That lamp/shade were very cheap Goodwill buys.)
Oh my, would ya take a look at these beauties? Um yeah, not sure they can get ANY uglier! The chair was another Goodwill find for about 5 bucks. The ottoman was another curbside rescue.
A little fabric...
A bit of trim, ribbon, a trusty hot glue gun...
And a lot of imagination...NOW they're pieces I don't mind having in my home!
So I shared last week how I had the wonderful opportunity to meet up with a special blogging friend of mine...Kim from Kim's Treasures. Let me tell you about our day! But first I'll show you the thoughtful, lovely gifts she brought. Isn't this such an adorable pen & paper set? I love it! And how 'bout that "M"? I love that, too! Not pictured but definitely appreciated were 3 mini journals. See, I was nice and shared them with my daughters :)
Look what Kim made...a market bag with her 'signature' yo-yos! Can't wait to use it! (Do any of you use recycled shopping bags? I've just started doing that in the last few months.) I am always so touched to receive a handmade gift, to be honest. It means a lot to me to know someone has put such special thought and time into it! Thanks again, Kim, for every single thing!
